Snap a photo for each new route you run (can be a pic of your Garmin, the trail map, your Strava, a selfie, anything...)
Post them on IG, FB, or Strava and tag @matsurunningclub and write #msrcjunechallenge25
Or, for those not on social, you can email them to us as you take them, to: matsurunningclub@gmail.com

Anyone can participate, and we encourage you to do so, however only club members will qualify for the gift card that will be given away to a random participant who completes the challenge.

Tuesday Tip - Warm Ups! Warming up prior to a run is ESSENTIAL to prevent injury and improve your performance. Warm ups are an important part of every MSRC session.

- APRIL 26: 4th annual Valley Thaw Out Races take place at @pyrahspioneerpeakfarm
- JUNE 3: Junior track season begins at Colony High School
- AUGUST 19: Extended season begins

Don’t forget - extended season starts tonight! Join us to welcome Coach Denali to MSRC! Denali grew up running around the trails near Seward, Alaska. She has pursued a racing career in many running disciplines: track, ultramarathon, and mountain. Denali has coaching experience for adults and children running programs. She has been the 5km coordinator for Girls on the Run Southcentral Alaska, volunteered for Nana Nordic and Healthy Futures, and led practice groups up Mount Marathon and Lost Lake. Denali and her family moved to the Government Peak area in 2022.

We can’t believe tomorrow is our last day on the track! We’ll see you on the trails on August 20th!

Our Junior season starts this Tuesday, June 2nd for ages 9-18! Our 9-13 group will meet Tuesdays at 4:30, and 14-18 will meet at 6 pm. Register at the link in our bio. We can’t wait to see you on the track!

We were so fortunate to have a gorgeous day of running yesterday for our third annual Valley Thaw Out Races! Thank you so much to all of our runners who participated, @aktivesoles who helped immensely to put on a successful event, @pyrahspioneerpeakfarm for hosting us, our sponsors @coachrousey and @healthymatsu, and especially all of our incredible volunteers! We couldn’t have done this without all of you!

The wind couldn’t stop us from having a wonderful first day of running club! It was so fun to see everyone’s smiling faces and get out and enjoy some running! We’ll see you all next Tuesday - we’re meeting in the faculty parking lot of colony high school again. Next week is our last free session, so come check it out!
